Kanwar Bir Singh Sangha is a highly experienced engineering professional with over 22 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as an Engineering professional at Google, where he is responsible for scaling people and systems from 1+ to 50+ and from 1x to 100x respectively. Sangha is a skilled professional with expertise in a wide range of technologies, including AWS, Redis, Postgres, Java, Microservices, Cassandra, and DevOps. Prior to joining Google, Sangha was the Vice President of Engineering at Bounce, a fast-growing mobility player that enables people to rent IoT-enabled 2-wheelers that can be locked and unlocked using an app. During his tenure at Bounce, Sangha built the engineering team from 5+ to 90+ in just 1.5 years. He also scaled the platform from 200 rides to 120k rides with 99.999% uptime and re-architected the geo-spatial query infrastructure from Postgres to Redis. Sangha worked closely with Product, UX, and Business teams for quarterly roadmaps. Before Bounce, Sangha was the Director of Engineering at Bidgely, a Silicon Valley SaaS startup that works on disaggregation at scale. During his time at Bidgely, Sangha helped grow the engineering team from 10+ to 60+ in just 3 years. He also architected the horizontally scalable Bidgely platform, which currently serves 10M+ consumers. Sangha worked closely with Product and UX teams based out of SFO and led the DevOps framework to bring costs down by 10x per home (smart meter). Sangha holds a BE in Computer Science from the University of Pune. He is a highly skilled professional with expertise in scaling people and systems, architecture, and product development.
